The mint family, referred to as Lamiaceae, is well known for its aromatic plants characterized by square stems, simple leaves and two-lipped open-mouthed tubular flowers. This family is found all over the world and are cultivated for fragrance, flowers, herbal  therapeutics, culinary flavors, teas and medicinal benefits.
